BAUN Department of Gerontology Makes Academic Contribution to the Family Panel from the Perspective of Religion, Law and Social Services

The panel titled "Every Aspect of Life in the Year of the Family; Family Through the Lens of Religion, Law, and Social Services," held in Balıkesir as part of the 2025 Year of the Family initiative, was attended by a large number of participants. Academics from Balıkesir University contributed to the panel, with Dr. Aslı Gözde Akış, a faculty member from the Department of Gerontology at the Faculty of Health Sciences, participating as a panelist.
In her presentation focusing on the themes of family and aging, Dr. Akış discussed the place of elderly individuals within the family, intergenerational relationships, and family-based care processes.
