Gerontologists’ Day: Gerontology Students and the 60+ Tazelenme University Came Together in a Joint Technical Field Trip

As part of the Gerontologists’ Day on 21 November, a technical field trip was organized in the Ayvalık district with the participation of students from the 60+ Tazelenme University and gerontology students. The excursion, which began in Adramytteion, continued across significant sites along the gulf. The full-day program was enriched by visits to a soap factory, an olive oil production facility, Ayvalık’s exceptional natural landscapes, as well as Cennet Bay and Küçükköy.

With the contributions of Prof. Dr. Hakan Önal, Director of BAÜNSEM and faculty member of Necatibey Faculty of Education, participants had the opportunity to observe gerontological practices in the field and explore various dimensions of the aging phenomenon on-site. The program provided a productive day in which learning and exploration were effectively integrated.
