Orientation Program for First-Year Students of the Department of Gerontology

Orientation Program Held for Our Department’s New Students

An extensive Orientation Program was organized for students newly enrolled in our department for the 2025–2026 Academic Year. The program took place on Wednesday, September 24, 2025, at 14:20 in Classroom 4, with the participation of first-year students from the Department of Gerontology.

The event began with an opening speech by Dr. Aslı Gözde Akış, Head of the Department. Following the opening, Dr. Özge Ertürk, Vice Head of the Department, introduced the faculty and department, and provided information about the 60+ Refreshment University, digital platforms, and the academic advising system. Subsequently, Dr. A. Gülay Şahan, Vice Head of the Department, gave a presentation on the academic structure of the Gerontology Department, including details about the course procedures and examination system.

The program concluded with an interactive session, during which students asked questions and shared their thoughts.
